Resignation notice under Art. 326 LC (with notice period)

Standard resignation with notice — 30 days (or as agreed).

Bulgarian labor documents are typically submitted in Bulgarian. Here is an English-Bulgarian bilingual template you can adapt.

Resignation without notice under Art. 327 LC

When the employer is at fault — delayed wages, unsafe conditions, unilateral changes. Triggers compensation under Art. 221(1) LC.

Request to use paid annual leave during the notice period

When you want to use accrued leave before termination instead of receiving cash compensation.

Complaint to the General Labor Inspectorate (unpaid wages or overtime)

Filed online at gli.government.bg or on paper at the local Inspectorate. Free of charge. Can be anonymous.

The Inspectorate accepts complaints in Bulgarian. We strongly recommend filing in Bulgarian — a translator or bilingual native speaker can help.

Request for written explanation before a disciplinary sanction

If the employer is about to impose a disciplinary sanction without first having requested a written explanation, the sanction is procedurally flawed (Art. 193 LC).
